    The Kith Names wing

This wing keeps names that know how to behave in a freehold and how to lie on a mortal form. Some shelves lean toward Seelie court softness, where bells, briars, and bright vows make a character sound welcome before trouble arrives. Others keep Unseelie edge, with hooks, thorns, and narrow smiles for the changeling who treats politeness as a weapon.

    How to read the entries

Use mortal-mask plausibility when the character needs a school record, a job badge, or a neighbor who knows the wrong version of the story. Use oath and glamour flavor when the name should sound as if it was earned during a promise. Use urban fae survival tone when alleys, rooftops, train lights, and rumor matter more than polished court manners.

    Who uses this wing

Writers, GMs, and players come here when a changeling needs to enter the scene already half remembered. Try one result as the name spoken by mortals and another as the name whispered among oathmates. If a result is nearly right, keep its cadence and trade one half for a sharper secret.

    • Pick the name that is easiest to say twice during a tense exchange.
    • Let one word carry glamour and the other carry ordinary cover.
    • Save bright names for festivals and bitter names for bargains.
    • Give rivals names that sound like compliments until they are not.

    Questions for the margin

    • Who benefits when this name is spoken?
    • Which part is safe enough for mortals?
    • What oath made the name stick?
    • Who laughs because they know the older version?
