    The Freehold Wing

This wing keeps places that refuse to become ordinary. Its shelves hold balefire keepers with tired hands, oaths written into tablecloths, neighborhood thresholds that pretend to be laundromats or bridges, and hidden workshops where chimera tools still complain. Each entry gives you a usable location seed rather than a finished chapter.

How to work with the entries

Begin with the strongest concrete detail. A keeper tells you who speaks for the hearth. A threshold tells you how players find the place. An oath tells you what behavior the freehold demands. Dreaming entrances and court moods then color the danger, welcome, and politics around it.

    Who uses this wing

Storytellers can place a refuge in a city block, a market, a rooftop, a subway platform, or a theater without stopping the session for design work. Writers can borrow the same results for sanctuaries, rival holdings, or strange civic landmarks. Combine two or three results when one freehold needs both charm and trouble.

    • What does the balefire ask from its keeper?
    • Which guest law causes the next argument?
    • What does the neighborhood think this place is?
    • Where does the Dreaming leak through first?
