    The Eastern Names Wing

This wing keeps Akaviri names for characters whose origins cross war records, court translation, and rumor. Its shelves move through serpentine imperial cadence, dragon-hunt legacy, court translator adaptation, hidden shrine inscription, and last survivor poignancy, so a single roll can suggest rank, lineage, exile, or a name scraped from an old Blade ledger.

    How to use the wing

Start with the sound, then decide who preserved it. A captain may need a severe public form. A shrine keeper may need a name that feels half prayer and half genealogy. A survivor may carry a simpler version because Tamriel made the older one difficult.

    • Pair a short name with a title when the character has military rank or court status.
    • Use longer ceremonial names for inscriptions, archives, prophecies, and ancestor lists.
    • Let Tamrielized forms be easier to say, but keep a sharper eastern cadence underneath.
    • Reserve harsh consonant clusters for Kamal-leaning warriors, captains, or snow-demon legends.
    • Use softer vowels for Tang Mo-inspired monks, healers, envoys, or folk tale figures.

    Questions from the margin

    • Who first wrote this name down in Tamriel, and what did they misunderstand?
    • Does the character honor Akavir, hide from it, or use it as a weapon?
    • Is the name a given name, a title, an exile form, or a translation?
    • Which enemy, emperor, dragon, or ancestor would recognize the name?

    Scribes ask…

Can I really use these akaviri name names for free?

Yes. Every name rolled with the Akaviri Name Generator is free to use in your stories, games, streams or projects — no credit required, though a kind word is always welcome. Just remember the muse is generous, so the occasional name may already belong to someone else; double-check before tattooing it on a logo.

Is there a limit to how many akaviri name names I can roll?

Roll until your dice catch fire. The codex holds many hundreds of akaviri name names for this generator alone, and the pool gets shuffled on every visit, so you'll rarely see the same line-up twice.

Does this work without an internet connection?

Once a generator's page has loaded, the names are cached in your browser. You can reroll on a train, in a tent, or deep in a dungeon — no signal required.
