• Does the name read at a glance, even in a packed sidebar list?
• Will a new user know the channel's purpose before clicking in?
• Is the tone a match for the room, not borrowed from a louder server?
• Could three or four channels from the same roll build a real category?
• Will the name still feel right in a year, or only this week?
