The Asura wing
This wing keeps names for beings who do not sit quietly inside one moral box. Some rule nether realms and jeweled courts. Some carry curse bound vows like iron jewelry. Others roar with thunder power, coil through serpent depths, or practice restrained wrath with alarming discipline. The shelves are not tidy, but neither are asuras.
Working with the entries
Use the first part of a result as the name people dare to speak. Treat the title as the part they lower their voice around. A court name can become political history. A poison garden name can become a family warning. A mirror craft name can become a clue that the character is never seen honestly.
- Choose one dominant lens before you adapt the name.
- Keep long titles for ritual scenes and shorter forms for dialogue.
- Let a visible tell make the name drawable.
- Give wrath a rule, debt, or memory so it has shape.
Questions from the margin
- What boon made the name dangerous?
- Who benefits if the title is forgotten?
- What happens when the Asura refuses the role the name demands?
Scribes ask…
Can I really use these asura name names for free?
Yes. Every name rolled with the Asura Name Generator is free to use in your stories, games, streams or projects — no credit required, though a kind word is always welcome. Just remember the muse is generous, so the occasional name may already belong to someone else; double-check before tattooing it on a logo.
Is there a limit to how many asura name names I can roll?
Roll until your dice catch fire. The codex holds many hundreds of asura name names for this generator alone, and the pool gets shuffled on every visit, so you'll rarely see the same line-up twice.
Does this work without an internet connection?
Once a generator's page has loaded, the names are cached in your browser. You can reroll on a train, in a tent, or deep in a dungeon — no signal required.
