The frontier cartography wing
This wing stores names for arenas that want to be played, not merely admired from orbit. Its shelves are sorted by planet identity, drop POIs, ring meta, loot rotation and storyline events, with side drawers for founder backstory, local rivalry and nighttime identity. Each entry is short enough for a map card, but it should leave a designer with work to do.
Using the wing
Take a result and ask what it changes about a match. A ring meta name needs pressure and narrow timing. A loot rotation name needs a path that players can learn. A named POI needs a clear silhouette, a reason to land there and a way to escape when third parties arrive. Combine results sparingly. The codex is helpful, but it has no patience for soup labels.
Questions before you shelve it
- Does the name imply a first drop decision?
- Can you sketch the cover from the name alone?
- Which squad route becomes risky after the second ring?
- What rumor, founder or sound would make the place stick?
Scribes ask…
Can I really use these apex map names for free?
Yes. Every name rolled with the Apex Map Generator is free to use in your stories, games, streams or projects — no credit required, though a kind word is always welcome. Just remember the muse is generous, so the occasional name may already belong to someone else; double-check before tattooing it on a logo.
Is there a limit to how many apex map names I can roll?
Roll until your dice catch fire. The codex holds many hundreds of apex map names for this generator alone, and the pool gets shuffled on every visit, so you'll rarely see the same line-up twice.
Does this work without an internet connection?
Once a generator's page has loaded, the names are cached in your browser. You can reroll on a train, in a tent, or deep in a dungeon — no signal required.
